Great to meet Alex and a couple of others at Cadwell, first time in many years there and the track surface is a million times better than it used to be loads smoother :).

Realised I'm well out of shape and not that fit, over weight too. Also learnt that no matter how much you drink in the heat its not enough. Had moment of lack of concentration/tiredness/lack of ability/etc seeing me dirt track the bike but kept it shiny side up, but decided I needed to call it a day then and skipped the last session.

Track walk is a great eye opener and a great help to so many, Monday was really enjoyable, friendly and fun, very well run and all I can say is thanks to Robert Bensley (Bins) for getting fit enough to run it again and also ride it so well. Thanks to Tim @ Lind for offering me van space to take the bike and a very much needed gazebo for shade

Roll on Snetterton

Good to meet you Gary, thanks for letting me catch up on a session by taking to the grass :) Was a good day, but another hot one, think I went through 7 water bottles of various sizes...so very glad of the gazebo I was using to hide from the sun.

I was speaking to my physio about surviving on these hot days, he said that drinking the day before was just as critical as when you're there. You need to be loading up on water 24hrs in advance. Just a tip for next time.

I went through 12 bottles of water (6lts) and still dehydrated when home so yes I can see that loading the day before would help.

Glad that my off road helped out, next time I'll try to stay on track, hope you'll be at Snett, I can follow you for some pointers

No timing equipment is allowed on the road bike days which is a shame...as its hard to know if you've improved without it... :innocent:

You did well keeping count while riding round and remembering each lap :p

Nice set of times there Alex, see you did loads better than you tried telling me, I'll have to try and up my riding I think to stay with you :)

I was a little surprised, thought I'd seen a 1:52 but figured it was a glitch (in lap etc). Buggered if I know how/when I did a 1:50!!
The K1 front must have helped.

I can fit 2 more riders into my cautious group, any takers? Most suitable for first timers.

Hi, moving groups at Snetterton is not a problem, the circuit limit is 66, we are welll below that, in fact at Snetterton in the cautious group we're at 34 plus instructors. Cadwell is a totally different matter, it's difficult to cover costs, however, it's a 3D circuit and .....................what can I say! Don't tell me Phil, I'm not normally lost for words!!!

If someone wants to lend me a rr for the day I'll come down :), squeaky boots 'n all.
