Literally turn up. There's no barrier to being on site.

I/we usually end up in garage 3/4...so ALL on here going should aim for those garages.

I was just going to ask if we have specific garages for members.

Thought I remembered bins saying it in an earlier post.

Morning Gents.
Just spotted my name on the cautious group for Snet.
Unfortunately I am neither cautious or indeed going.
OOI, did I sign up to this and then forget? Apologies if I did,
Cheers
Hugh

@bins do you have Hugh on your current list?

weather looking good for Snetterton on the 8th.

Is there some sort of check-list that you have of items to bring? Tools, etc? Or just rock up and ride?

On a normal track day, there might be a few things you'd want to bring - I take off my mirrors (cos normally they're tucked in and not used) and reg plate - for reduced wind drag :)

As I understand it, on this one it's strictly turn up and ride.

I imagine we'll want to/be advised to adjust tyre pressures, but that's about it.

If you're not an instructor - take the mirrors off / fold them / tape them up with insulating tape. You only need to know what's ahead of you.
Number plate stays on, it's used to put an individual sticker on your bike.

I'll try to have a spare set of R&G Mirror Blanks with me, however you can just use insulating tape to hold the plastics in place when the mirrors are removed.

aha! I read the instructions that Robert sent out to say that we couldn't take the mirrors off...if I'm wrong about that I will be bringing a 10mm spanner and my blanking plates :)

Is anyone else heading up from London area on Monday? I guess Amit and Preynol are for starters. Fancy meeting up for the ride? I was thinking of getting to Attleborough in time for the curry, but flexible on that. Robert did ask for numbers a few days ago, guess we should back to him quickly...

I think if you want to know what's going on behind you then you're not concentrating on what's ahead. But if you can hear someone up your chuff in the corners then just apply some sense. Don't gas it too hard on the next clear straight and they will probably slip by. You stop impeding them and they don't have to banzai you to get passed.

Hi, garages 3 and 4 should be reserved for forum members.

Tyre pressures, I use Michelin Pilot power 2CT, I use the same pressure I've used ever since I can remember, 30 front and 32 rear, I did however learn a bit about tyres last year at the 'Ring', Andy Carlisle was my instructor, along with other things he persuaded us to lower a bit more, after checking when hot.

Mirrors, the biggest complaint I get is from fast riders on slower bikes, they catch fast bikes, (and they always quote them as being S1000s) and then get left behind on the straights. All I want is for all riders to be aware of what's going on around them, if you take mirrors off, a glance behind as you exit Agostinis, or Murrays is easy enough to ***** if you've been caught through the twisties.

We're going to the Shapla Indian restaurant on Monday evening, seems like we may get 20 or more, please send an email so I can give them a better idea.

I do have a Hugh D on the list, he's from Berks, must have an alias!!!

Not long now, R B.

Silly me, I've just seen I've got unread messages, they go back years! there's a recent one from s1000rr_dude, please email me if you'd still like to come, thanks R B.

I?m going to ride up on the Tuesday. See you garage 3 or 4.

The Shapla is tucked away in a bit of a corner of Attleborough town square, (where the town green is), I'll try and get there by 7, (ish) anyone who's early, get a drink and wait for, now how are we going to know who's in our group? I'll tell the staff to reserve us a table and look out for dubious looking hooligans! I'm fairly scruffy, used to be 5'8" now walk with a bent back! and I'm 5'7"
Tell them you're with the table booked for the motorcyclists.

I'm still undecided whether to ride up on Tuesday morning or on the Monday afternoon & join in the curry session (tempting!). Does anyone know whether there is secure bike parking at the Griffin in Attleborough?

I?ll be up for a ride on Monday... I have a mate out that way.... he knows some great roads.... he said we can meet at The Bunglow, and then head out from there....

+ 1 for the Curry....

I got a call from the accommodation saying that they double booked... now to find something else close by. :-(
