Just checking everything over before an early morning ride tomorrow and spotted this......so annoying!

Plug or replace? Just going to be a pain getting it anywhere to get it done......

Plug it and change them shoes ffs:biggrin-new:

Same thing happened too me last week. Put new tyre on, if its not leaking or loosing pressure use it , we use to take screws out of tyres and put puncture repair glue on a bigger screw and screw that into the tyre it use to get us out of trouble. In the end its up to you, if its not loosing air over night i would use it, but get it plugged or new tyre asap.

Heathens :smile-new:

I knew when i posted the pic id given u lot the opportunity to give me a roasting lol

Tyre repaired properly from the inside, (shoes still the same :adoration:).

Now EVERYONE is saying im mad riding that bike on a repaired tyre yada yada yada.

Anyone out there want to reassure me that im not mad and a repair is safe?

Id rather walk into a crowded pub wearing a shell suit tucked in at the legs with white socks and your shoes than ride a bike with a plugged tyre.:Banane19:

Your tyre will be fine bud. I've had this done a couple of times, had a tyre for a week got a puncture, got it plugged , tyre lasted for almost 3000 miles hard road use and a couple of trackdays. it's whatever your comfy with.... I would use it no problem.

We had a vote on this very subject a couple of weeks ago didn't we, seem to recall it was about a 50/50 split on whether plugging a tyre for an S1000RR (as opposed to a moped/car/van etc) was a good idea or not.

100% new tyre , if worst happens and ur lying fukt at least you won't thing it's because your to tight to spend ?140 on a tyre I'd find that hard to take . That's why I never scrimp on tyres service etc what ever bike needs it gets then if I end up cattled it ain't down to money .

Like i said before if the tyre manufactuer GARENTEE the plug by a recommended specialist to the same speed rating than before then what is the issue?
