engine noise

Hi Guys. can anyone tell me if engine noise is usual on 2011 s1000rr? my bike does seem very noisey compared to other bikes such as fireblades ect,
i have 11k on clock and full service history. last service 500mls ago... it just seems to sound rough... is this normal? i have heard the s1000rr can be noisey??????

Engine Noise

S1000RRs typically have noisy engines. It can be a bit unsettling at first; particularly if your used to riding Japanese bikes which are much quieter in comparison.
