Just got back from our ride out today, and what a cracking day it has been!

Was great to ride with and hang out with you all, and I very much hope we can meet up for a ride again soon :).

Special thanks to our excellent Tour Guide and Route Master Phil, there were some fantastic roads and the riding was yet again fast, but safe!

Thanks again guys, hope you've all made it home safe and sound and I look forward to seeing you all again soon! :)

Oli
Ahh you guys did go out then lol
I did post up I was running a wee bit late and was on my way. Was gobsmacked when I got there before 9 and nobody was there?
I still met up with my mates and had a good ride out so at least it wasn't a wasted day.

Thanks oli. Poor bitch still shaking now. She only 8 stone wet so it?s hit hard

Jay

Has she had anything to eat yet? They say that light, surgery, food/drink helps with shock ...
Hopefully tomorrow she'll have settled down a bit and will be on the road to recovery as they say!

You can make her smile (or laugh) by telling her that the S1000RR forum UK wish her a speedy recovery :)

Hi Jay, as others have said glad its not too bad even though it must have been a complete shock/nightmare to wake up too. Such a shame you missed the ride, we were all looking forward to meeting you.

I wish your wife and yourself well.

Regards

Phil

Bruce I'm really sorry, I checked the forum briefly before I left home but didn't once I arrived at the meet point ...

I'm really glad you managed to meet up with friends and had a good day nevertheless.
Hope you're having a relaxing Sunday evening now?

Hi Brucie, you must have missed us by a minute or two as we left the services/BP station after 8;55. maybe next time?

Really enjoyed. Thanks for the great ride once again.

Must've been within a minute then. I know BP Boreham as used to meet there years ago but in my rush I cut off the junction before by accident and that probably made the difference.

Jay, hope she recovers quickly and fully. We can do a ride another time.

Bruce, sorry, like Oli, i didn't check for messages. Send Phil a txt next time. We didn't leave without on purpose.

Phil thanks for another fantastic journey.

All, thanks for making it another good, safe trip, minor whoopsies aside. Good pace and sensible hats on 99% of the time.

Cheers Alex glad you enjoyed the day.

Thanks Alex

Have u installed ur RB ?

Jay

No. Simply cause I want to speak to HM Racing wrt an article for here. Before and after. Also I'm going to wait till after the August 6/7 dates that I need a working bike for. No need to add stress beforehand. (I know its reversable etc...but anyway thats my choice.

Really sorry to be reading this Jay, I hope your wife makes a swift recovery and that they throw the book at the driver.
All the best, and don't do anything you may regret in the future buddy.

Haha seriously she been rattling on about it for days coz if I ain’t on bike I’m in here.
Think it would get mixed reviews as all good wanting her to be busy so I can get out the door on my bike without ‘can I come ‘ but what about when I want my dinner and she out with ur misses spending our dough [emoji23][emoji23]
Reckon it would work anybody ??? Get enough votes of confidence I will get her on it.

Jay

My missus spends all my money without encouragement. She went to watch Jess Glynn with her mates at York races on Friday. She proudly told me she got a cheap round in, instead of buying a magnum of Laurent Perrier she got two standard bottles of bubbly instead. Ffs I don't drink that stuff when I go out and it's my money lol. And the kicker is they all stayed in the bar drinking and couldn't be bothered to watch the show because it was raining.

@Felix (Ben). I did notice something you may not be aware of. When overtaking you seem to make the bike move around like you're doing some hip gyrations! LOL

Best practice is
Pull out.
Accelerate in a shallow arc around the vehicle, heading to a point on the LHS of the road where you'll have cleared the vehicle and can cross the white line again.

Yours were;
Accelerate
Drag it to the right, fighting the accelerative forces.
Drag it to the left, fighting it back from the move to the right and then back in.

Not having a go, just thought you should know. Might make overtakes less demanding :)
