Just got back from today?s ride-out, and what a fantastic day it?s been!

Riding was, as always, ?enthusiastic? but safe, and despite a wet start thankfully the roads dried out in the afternoon.

Thanks Phil for organising/leading another fantastic days riding.
Thanks to RickS1K for joining us today, was a pleasure to meet you!

Hope you?ve both made it home safe and sound and have a fantastic, MotoGP filled weekend ahead!
Enjoy the Strictly Come Dancing Phil [emoji6] ...

Thanks Oli, was a pleasure to ride with you again.

Colin, hope you enjoyed the day and got home ok?

Strictly is on in the background, a day out on the Bike is a good trade off. :highly_amused:

Yup, home OK Phil. That was a great day, even if my arse is a bit sore from 300+ miles in the saddle. Great to meet you both, thanks for the guide to Essex, Cambridgeshire, Suffolk....where else did we go, I was lost for most of it :)

Thanks ! 4,5,6,7 Oct. 8sleeps to go lol
Afternoon Bman. Do you mind me asking how much you paid and which bike transport company you use? I've had some lumpy quotes for my S1
I'm looking at doing a Spanish trackday early next year and checking my options for getting the bike there. As I usually ride to UK track days, I thought I might try Portsmouth to Santander and then a mini tour to the track and back. Obviously means a headache if I chuck it up the track.

I know Focused Events transport and organise track events in Spain, you could pay them to transport your bike to Almeria and back and throw in 1 day on track.

+1. For some of their Euro Trackdays Focussed charge about ?500 all-in, including transport. I doubt you could do transport alone much cheaper once you included ferry / fuel & any overnight stops on the way.

It was ?495 for 6 days on track, 6nights and bike transport

You could sign up for 6 and use 3 days for sight seeing....

Yeah - I'm using 3.5 days for track :) and...working the others :(
The 6 day-er is extreme but it is to demonstrate the possible value.

All of the companies I can think of include in the costs hotels, bike, tools, kit transport (I take my bash hat on the plane with me, but could easily pay for an additional hard box to send it in). What they don't cover is; food, fuel, tyres, flights, hire cars. Also you tend to have to share rooms at their hotels or pay a premium for a solo.

Most well known providers in the UK are;
Pacedayz.
Redline.
No-Limits.
Focused Events.
