Got it down the a local garage this morning. Turns out that the calipers being filthy was only part of the problem. There was a collapsed bearing in the front wheel. So new bearings and clean calipers and all is good with the world!

It's my old '12 street, that my wife threw under a car (luckily she was unhurt). The red 'RR on the left was written off when a kind lady pulled out on me.... should really change that picture!
