small plastic piece in oil

Just changed my oil on 2010 rr and a found a small plastic piece in oil tray.. about 6mm o/d, about 3mm thick and a hole in middle about half a mill.. any one any ideas ?

If the engine is running fine, could it be a foreign object that was accidentally dropped in during a previous oil change?
