I'm back and sunburned from Silverstone - how often does that happen!?
We had a fantastic weekend, some excellent racing, day of champions auction/entertainment and paddock passes for Thursday (which was brill). I managed to win one of the auctions to get a pair of paddock passes for Sunday and 'appearance on the podium for all 3 classes - even we dont get to do that!' ... or so Suzy and Gavin said - this transpired to be wrong, and it was only the ability to be near the podium.
As I'd donated the prize to my daughter (18th birthday) and to Keith (the guy that binned his bike the day after buying it) I was a bit miffed, so complained, resulting in the lovely lady from 2wheelsforlife wrangling them both front row seats for the post race conference. If you watch it, right at the very end as the riders are about to leave, you'll see Keith (the bald dude in the yellow t-shirt) getting up to collar Rossi for a photo
They had a fantastic day meeting lots of famous people, tons of selfies and my daughter got her iPhone signed by Mr Rossi himself - so she's over the moon.
Woodlands was brill as usual, excepting the big 'discussion' we had to get on/off site as they had a total vehicle lock-down over the weekend. We did stay the extra night to avoid the huge traffic jams getting out of the car parks so we arrived home at lunchtime yesterday all nicely chilled out. Top weekend.
