I'm not to happy with my r&g aero sliders, had a 70mph off last weekend. The bung bend 90 degrees and every panel on the right side received some damage.

Just to rub salt in the wound when I tried to unscrew the slider the bolt snapped!

My Daytona I had before had a r&g on it as well, I bought it off a mate who had crashed it on track, the slider just ripped the threads out of the engine mount, I had to helicoil that to get that sorted.

Now I got a fun weekend getting a broken bolt out of my s1000rr this weekend coming up.

I have ordered new crash bungs just something shorter this time as if it go's down again I'm more concerned about the frame than the fairings.

Sorry to hear about that with the crash bung, but I take it you are ok from your off?

My head took the fall and had a concussion but after 10 days the headaches are finally going away.

Just got to fix the bike now.

Yea mate sorry to hear that... a double whammy with the R and Gs not really protecting your bike as they should, then shearing off..I feel the pain.

I thought the idea was they wear down not bend over,
And now you've got a broken bolt to get out hope all ends well for you.

There's no perfect solution. The sliders are for fast low-siding really. They are supposed to grind down or bend before the frame does.

Truth been there ment to bend before breaking the frame and there not made for fast crashes, you can get racing ones that are shorter that are made for protecting the frame but not the fairings.

I might make a guide on removing the broken bolt and repair its not the first time!
