Re: New ride and previous ride.

My that's going to very loud! What rear sets are on your bike

Re: New ride and previous ride.

Looks great but I reckon you'll last a month
Mine used to set the neighbours car alarms off when the bike was cold

Re: New ride and previous ride.

I know the noise is a personal choice but i tried riding with a guy with an AR stubby & got pissed off with the racket and over took and never let him pass, way too noisy  thats why i went for the Akra evolution race full length.
Now i have people fighting over who'l ride behind me cos they love the noise with the QS :D :D

Re: New ride and previous ride.

Prior to the S1K, I rode this all the way from Bromsgrove to Pamplona (yes, I did the stupid bull run thing) on my beloved MV F4

Re: New ride and previous ride.

I had one of those last year - before the S1k - and the same lid. Lovely bikes not a patch n the beema though.

Nice.

Re: New ride and previous ride.

Well after running the exhaust for a few miles it wasn't quite loud enough for me. So sent it back to Rich at Austin Racing, within 24hrs he cut 50mm off the can (now 200mm long) and fitted 50mm internals. Kudos to the bloke, he really listens to his customers.

Wasn't happy with the stock screen below.

I loved how the Zx10 had a wide open air intake, a bit of searching and I managed to source a Hotbodies 2 piece bubble double screen with open beak.

A few more panels and it'll be off to be sprayed.

another bonus when searching the standard parts box in the loft, I found a set of standard hoses in a HEL box, which means mine have been replaced with braided lines, no wonder they're f**king lethal lol

I'll get you one tomorrow mate, I ran out of daylight.
Ok ;)
Just want to see this stealth bomber! You'll have to get a carbon tank now??

Re: New ride and previous ride.

Just been speaking to the sprayer and he reckons to do an exact copy of the HP4 scheme, but have subtle bits like on the nosecone the black striping would be carbon underneath.

same with the side panel

Not sure what to do on the back end yet though.

Re: New ride and previous ride.

I did the same sort of thing with my Ducati, painted over carbon but leaving small things bare like pinstripes/number boards etc. gives a really nice understated look. :D

Re: New ride and previous ride.

sorry for the poor quality photo, it was nearly dark and I was putting it away for winter.

Progress so far, will be ordering the nosecone and side panels about christmas time.

Re: New ride and previous ride.

I bet that exhaust runs almost quiet :)
Looks pretty nice , but the juries still out for me on covering up the beautifully crafted swing arm.
Bet it was cold washing that last night ?
