Yes mate, a brief encounter in a lay by, doesn't sound right that :) I caught up with the English contingent about 20 miles from Stranraer and tagged on the back, they thought I was police for the first 5 or 6 miles :) The Scottish lads had already headed for home on an alternative route so sadly missed them. Great to meet you as well mate, had a really good run into Moffat with the rest of the lads anyway so managed to salvage something from the day. Great to meet you all.

Ahem!!! :D

That English contingent are Border Jumpers and live in East Lothian and have done for some time ;) :D

:congratulatory: Your dead right Mick and I do apologise, it's that posh East Lothian accent that had me confused. You've earned the right to dual citezonship :unconscious: Just noticed your avatar, the famous Knockhill hairpin (your local circuit) the last time I went round that in reverse direction I snapped my collar bone:dread:

Well that's the first time my accent has ever been labelled as posh :D

Most of the time people don't actually pick up where I am actually from which I suppose is a good thing in Scotland :D

Funny how things turned out later on. Riding along with Alex and suddenly 3 more sthous appear out of nowhere and provide escort back to base. Thank you.

It was a cracking ride into Moffat with you guys, I love that pace of riding on those kinds of roads. Great fun!

stevie great to meet you and we must make sure you are about the next time we have a meet up.

Hey Mick, I must agree with Stevie or as you would call him Stefan, all the Micks I have known up to now have been ex-miners, mechanics or scrap dealers. Whilst you my dear chap would fit right in to Headmaster of a posh school type.

Lol, funny how being polite can throw an accent.

Hope to bump into you all soon.

Well when one looks at it from that angle James then I can see your point :D

But one is far from posh but I thought I better make an effort particularly riding a BMW :D

Posh....never heard you called that before Mick....heard you called a few things beginning with P but never posh....lol

Hey Darren, your a bit of a posh lad too, on the quiet.

I saw you eating your chips at the seafront.............. With a fork!!!!

Hi guys! Sorry for the late reply regarding your/our Moffat trip, but I've only just got my laptop back from the repair shop, after having it expire on the Saturday before we set off on the Monday morning. I was very pleased to meet Alex and Andy (soof) on the afternoon of their arrival at the hotel. Unfortunately, Alex was experiencing some form of electronic problem with his bike at the time, though Alex and Andy seemed to know what the issue was and seemed to know what they were doing. Unlike me I might add, which reminded me why I retired from my garage business seven years ago. I just couldn't get my head round the electronics side of the job, and for the record, still can't. Something about new tricks and old dogs I suspect. I was also pleased to meet Stephen and Graham, of Grahams Motorcycles that evening, in the hotel bar and left Stephen with a little problem I have with the suspension on my own s thou, which he promised he would look into for me. (I will ring soon Stephen) I was more than a little disappointed though not to meet up with the other members of the group on the following morning. This because our group was leaving for a run out at 10 am prompt, and I think your group was meeting up a bit later than that. I did however, see an HP4 arrive at 9.50 and I ran across the road to try to meet at least one of your group, only to find the rider park up outside the chemist and go inside. I hung around for a few minutes but didn't go in as I was unsure just what the rider may be purchasing (nod, nod, wink, wink):D I was particularly disappointed not to meet up with the King of Fife (JimmyMac). But I was genuinely disappointed to have missed meeting you all... Perhaps next time eh! So sorry to have heard of the couple of offs during your run out. I don't think I could have been so philosophical as the riders seemed to have been, had it happened to me though. How bloody lucky were you with the weather? That was by far the best day of the week. The picture of you all at Port Patrick was just like the one we took last year when we visited, again with great weather! We went there again this year, a day or two before you, and the weather, though dry, was dull and drab. Looking at the pictures put up on here, it sure looks like you all had a ball and had a great day out.

Haha, I very much look forward to our paths crossing also RR, your post made me laugh. We did indeed have great day, glad you managed your trip without your customary hedge diving somersaults and you managed not to knock any Polis off their bikes this time.

Take care.

Lol hi roadrunner... that was me at the chemist..I was in getting some hay fever tablets not what you were thinking (who have you been talking too?) Im trying hard to shake off this reputation that follows me about. Funnily enough I did notice someone looking at my bike Im guessing it was you, you should have said when I came out it would have been good to say hello.

Your hay fever would go away if you didny keep riding into long grass, on the other hand if I had seen you coming out of the chemist popping blue pills and dressed in leather chaps I would make a hasty retreat too, to preserve my virginity. lol
