Think the 190/55 is the norm. You could try a 200/55? Has anybody tried a 200 section on their S1000's? Is there much difference from a 190, handling wise?

Wonder why the previous owner put 50's on then... Ahhhh well. I heard 180's make it easier to drop into a corner, so I imagine 200's would make it harder.... Does anyone know if 50 to a 55 what differences it would make?

Pilot Power 3's for me. They've been on for 3000 miles plus (life left too) and have been down to Barcelona and back with no problems. Deffo getting another set when these finish

Anyone know I good place to get them from? As in cheap? Yes I know there not exactly cheap, but you know what I mean. Cheapest place. Ha

I would be careful going anywhere that offered tyres a lot cheaper than anyone else, they'll probably be counterfeit.

For a fair price, good fitting service try http://www.biketyresleeds.com/. They are in Scholes, not too far away. I have all my tyres supplied by them. The owner is an ex racer and is good for a chat about tyres. He convinced me on the M7RRs.

If you are getting some from there and I'm about I could meet you for a ride after (unless you are only taking the rims, obviously).

Also, the HP4 has 200/55 rear, no problems with cornering. If you are changing tyre size you might want to check your hugger for clearance.

55 tyre will turn in quicker and you will have a larger contact patch with the road. 55 is more responsive in general and have more grip cranked over.

Rough tyre wear so far. I ride fast road and do not commute on my missile.

K3 F 3000 k
K3 R 2000 k

SC0 F 1500 k
SC1 F 2200 k
SC1 R 900 k
SC2 R 1500

K1 F 1000 k and about a little over half left
K2 R 1000 k and less than half left

I have felt the most comfortable on the K1/K2 combo they let go slower (comparatively) better than the SC's in the wet too.

Although i don't really care about tyre wear, I just want max grip for those little moments :)

Soofsayer, I'll have a look at them, but either way I'm happy to go out for a ride anytime. I try and get out every weekend, and go to squires on Wednesday night too.

my last tyres were supercorsa bsb done aprox 2000mile on road and 1 novice track day at anglesea, and ran out of rubber on sides before middle! just fitted some dunlop 212 ms4 compound rear and number 2 front done 2 sessions at croft on them last week but can't see them lasting too long, but felt outstanding! felt a little weird at first as only run 22 psi hot in rear!! not had opportunity to test them on road yet
