The dealer has actually been great and I highlighted that to BMW. It's BMW UK that are just basically fobbing me off saying speak to the dealer. The issue is that the dealer is closed so I went to BMW UK to see if they could contact them.
The damage to your bike is unacceptable. I would not have taken it back. Can you not get in touch with your dealer the same way you did to pick up your bike? They have to apply to bmw for whatever it is you want them to do to resolve the situation.
I only posted the pictures and mentioned it as it seemed like Alex was having a go at me insinuating that I was bad mouthing or moaning about the dealers/BMW UK for no reason which I don't think I have.
You complained BMW UK fob you off (I didn't mention the dealer) but don't mention what the subject of the mail is, I assumed it's the cracked lacquer in the wheel. But fair enough if it's other things, which are dealer caused, people screw up but they legally should have the opportunity to fix them.
It's the bad mouthing BMW UK, all the time, which is silly as they will want the dealer involved and LOCKDOWN IS A VALID REASON to wait, because if you've not noticed, they are closed. BTW, I don't know of anyone else with government permission to make a non-essential trip to pick up a non-essential bike which isn't supposed to be ridden right now, but clearly you did, nice.

With all due respect mate, I?d argue the dealer hasn?t been great at all if they themselves did the damage. They put you in a position you shouldn?t have been in, in the first place.
Hi guys,
I don?t work for Bmw but work one of the big PLC?s in the motor trade and I can only give you a little of how our company is going forward.
This is depending on Boris?s speech on Sunday.
I have along with a few others, have continued to work remotely, while all but the GM?s of our dealership sites have been furloughed.
However I?ve still been selling a **** load of cars but not been able to hand them over.
That changes on the 18th. We?ll be looking to get customers in those cars purchased and slowly start to wind up getting staff back ready to reopen in June. A **** load of measures to be put in place.
I know it must be frustrating as a customer (I?m one too) but believe me guys no one is enjoying this. Well not after the second week of what they thought was a holiday. Lol
There will be some normality resumes soon. Well the new normal for some.
Hope that helps

The North Oxford dealership has started up on a limited basis. Showroom's not open yet but they've started delivering bikes sold before or during lockdown.
Most importantly, that included mine :triumphant:
The last shiny picture before I put the top box on and get thrown out of the club :highly_amused:
