So the bike is gettin stripped down this weekend ready to be resprayed. fairings off, tank off, wheels off, swingarm off.
Was wondering if theres anything thats worth doing while its all stripped down and naked apart from a burnout before the tyres come off lol.
Also any reccomendations of a new rear tyre. Ive heard m7rrs are decent.
Cheers

M7RRs are very good. They last a few thousand miles easily and grip very well in all conditions. However, if your mileage each year is low why not get something with more performance, semi slick :).

Less than 3000 a year i reckon, only ride in rain if i get caught out in it but im not that confident in the wet so wouldnt want something that i wouldnt feel comfortable with if i did get stuck in the rain. Do slicks still grab well in the wet, any tips on makes?

It will either look good or **** but we'll soon find out

lol am sure it will be great , plus it's your bike each to their own and all that

Clean the brake pistons, fit a 16T front sprocket.

Clean and clean again

The m7's are brilliant in the wet very confidence inspiring
I wouldn't put one on the back if the fronts different though

Im pretty happy with how fast it is already haha, maybe next year

Looking forward to seeing this Snow, bit partial to Pink myself. I like it with a Cobalt blue contrast.

JimmyMac

Pink and black will look nice, I wonder what your matching kit will be though?

Jimmy already has a pink bike no wonder he jumped straight into commenting

With a nice metalic black

Any tips on semi slick tyres?? I'll probly change both while theyre off

I have been using the power race, power one and now the power cup for 10 years on my zx6r. Only once i got caught out in the rain, still had loads of grip, and when i got back home the tyres were smoking, thats how hot they got. Looking to try the latest power cup evo on the beamer. Michelin got a tyre selection website, you just enter a few details and hey presto.....

Liking the look of the k3's. Dont suppose you know what theyre like if i get caught in the wet or damp conditions soof?

I have only used k3s in dry conditions and they were very good. I had SP2s on my hp4 from the factory and they were great in the dry too, but no so great in the wet. If you were careful you'd be ok, but anything more spirited and things got wobbly. In damp conditions they were better and did well when warmed up.
