I have recently bought a 2023 S1000RR to use on track and looking for some advice on which fairings to go for. The CRC fairings don’t seem to have updated to include the wings so looking at Motoxpricambi, S2 Concept or Alpha. Can anyone make any recommendations

Cheers

Ian

The first gen M1000RR is virtually the same as the 2023 w.r.t wings so that is a viable option.
The second generation M1000RR bodywork fits the S1000RR.

But that wasn't for me...so I found and, spoiler alert, bought, some 2023 esq fairings from a company I'd never heard of. Flamingo Corse in Italy.

They have turned up but I've not gotten them properly out and tested them yet. They feel solid, maybe a little heavy...hopefully take a beating well as track fairings suffer a lot of abuse.

Thanks Alex, I have never heard of them either but they look pretty good. Did they come with the necessary brackets and fixings ready to install?

You have to add them but yes they will supply. They drilled/fitted mine.

Seat, mudguard/screen are all extra

Perfect. Looks like they do custom paint jobs and not a bad price. I take it they are shipped from Italy so import tax to add on to the list price?

Yes you are correct. I nearly went the whole hog.

Fyi the wings are simplified versions of the oem. Same area but dont have the weird leading edge separation.

That does look good. I nearly went with CRC when RP had their Christmas discount. Ended up with a £300 set of Chinese fairings + Carbon belly pan. Would definitely consider these guys if I need a new set though.

I will review properly when I can. Was going to try and fit them this weekend but I'm sick with 'rona/something ******...so hopefully soon.

I won’t be needing them until March so I’ll wait for your review before I place an order. Seems to be a lot of that going about just now, hopefully you shift it soon

Loosely bolted mine on this weekend.
I will have to cut the bellypan to keep the side stand and to allow for my exhaust which is different to most. I will use a dremmel.

Everything is lining up well. Finish of the matt black paint is good. Trying to avoid messing it up.

I've had 2 sets of motoxpricambi. They fit well and the finish was spot on. I paid a bit more so the stickers were lacquered over. Bare in mind the import duties put another £300+ on top of price. So worked out around £1800. The beauty of them tho is if you damage a panel they can just replace it ready painted.

it's a wonder anyone can afford to ride on track anymore, £1800 for a set of fairings (the blades are around £1500 with brackets etc), tyres at 450+ a pop.

those where the things that you would just patch up, gaffer tape/cable tie after an off, but they are so complex now, it's almost a throw away item after a decent off. As for tyres, i worked out i saved about 3k last year on tyres alone after not doing many t'days!! :)

I looked at CRC for the Blade and the price put me off. I know it's not cheap but seemed a good deal to come painted.

Hi Alex
I have the same year and considering these, do you have any installed pics?

Sidestand has to be removed. The bellypan in the pictures is not bolted in place whilst I waited for the part I needed to drop the side stand.

Fit is decent. Happy with it overall. The wings are not bolted to anything other than the fibreglass which makes me a little nervous. I might see about some stays to connect them to the oem hanger.

I went to remove the hanger for the wings but the steering angle sensor bolts to the same. (You will see what I mean when its stripped).
