I was and there was a similar RSV in my sessions. And I can attest it was quick in the corners

Sadly no Alex, i am up in Scotland so Donington would be a bit of a mission for me, although i was aware of other Aprilia owners going on that particularly track day

i still have the r1 for the track, this was in alcarrass last mnth. Eventually i will get rid and put the beamer on track but not just yet as im getting the engine refreashed this weekend and want to get at least 2 more summers out of it

Ahh Pacedayz, do you rate them? My boss and I were discussing going on one of their trips to Jerez next year (unfortunately now sold out).

They were absolutly brilliant. From the time we got to hotel to the time we picked bikes up. Very relaxed , 1 10 min on day 1 and that was it. Good instructors and peter hickman chucked in for good measure. Really nice spa hotel. Would definatly reccommend them

Before the RR I had (still have) a 1996 VFR 750F - in my opinion one of the best bikes ever built, i use it everyday and have just as much fun as i do on the S1000RR.

CBR 929 Fireblade. Absolutely loved it. I only sold it so I didn't end up having too many! Wanted to keep it as a project but already have a ZXR 750J1 project and I'll be lucky if that's ever finished at this rate. Beside the blade was far too nice condition to be projected or tracked. Went to a guy who wants to keep it as is until they go up in value.

Before my S1000RR i rode a Ducati Streetfighter S (1098)

Just sold this my 1993 ZXR750. It is/was the rare homologation model and got quite sort after. There was very little left standard & it was full of race kit and WSBK parts inc full period front end. As much as it was nice to ride, it got very expensive to run due to bits becoming hard to find & was way slower on track than the rr.

I still miss it sitting alongside the S1 in the garage though

Just a bit but it would have simply been left in the garage and not been used. I started buying up all the bits i could find for it just to keep it going, I still have an engine sitting waiting to be shipped from Japan. It all got way too intense. The RR is the perfect replacement as i just stroll to the garage and get on and ride it.

Was the second owner, got it with 350 miles on it and it was 4 year old at that point. Thing was immaculate.

Was a good bike but just didn't feel happy with it as the s1k is what I wanted, so it went.
