Get the Caliper in a vice, stick a cloth in between the opposing Pistons and try an airline. Whip out the bleed nipple and get a soft end like a Schrader car valve with the core taken out, clip that onto your airline and press it hard against the hole where the nipple sits..ive done it a few times succesfully. the pistons will pop out. Jump down to mine if you want and try it mate.

My brake cleaner arrived so took the calipers off for a good clean. Last time out the were binding badly and the discs were proper cooking. On inspection the salt road crude had the pistons sticking so the pads cane out and pushed pistons as far out as i dare. All cleaned up well and all pistons moving nicely. No need for new seals or pistons which was a result

Im not sure how often people clean up there calipers, obviously down to milage and what type of milage. But i changed my pads in may and the bike was in bmw for a service in sept where the calipers were inspected. But 2 rides on wet salty roads and a 2 mnths lay up was enough to get the pistons binding.

cheers Kenny, but the pistons are gubbed they are all pitted because of the salt(and that's with regular monthly cleaning , you would have to clean them weekly to have any chance of them surviving tbh) , that what happens when you ride through the winter I guess, will post some pics when I get them out.

Yes Ross, it does sound great. On initial start up and idling it sounds pretty much like the original can, but on the move it sounds different, deeper somehow, solid even, if those are the correct words for it. Anyway I love it. I don't think the boys in blue will object to it either:smug:

Small package today from the guys at reactive parts. Just some aesthetic stuff. Axle protectors and a oil filler cap.
