Look forward to hearing how you got on triplejimmy, I've done some lengthy day trips on my sKRR but I couldn't figure out how to get the Mrs and a weeks worth of kit on mine for an upcoming trip to the Alps so I've bought a 2010 R1200 GSA for the job... Its mega comfortable and has the full luggage kit, ESA etc but its a bit like riding a two wheeled Transit van with performance to match, I deffo wont be selling the S1000!!
