You will need to use a small T8 Torx screw driver. You remove the lower cover first and then gently pry off the front. It will come off in a downwards direction. Then there is another T8 screw holding the switch to the throttle housing. Unplug the switch connector by pulling down and make sure you unplug the heated grip socket from the housing as well. Also note that the electronic throttle and grip is secured in place with a bolt which goes through the clip-on. The removal process is illustrated in the Service Manual should you need it.
