Tank cover

Anyone taken the tank cover of a Gen 4? The plastic bit just above the filler cap. I was expecting to take out the 3 screws and lift it off. Mine seems to be bonded to the black plastic either side and the tank and is fixed solid. Ive never taken one off before and thought it would just lift off.

I think I saw on a video (maybe motonosity on YouTube) that it had velcro

Yes, it has two Velcro strips underneath, so after removing screws gently prise off with fingers starting from the front and it just comes off.

Thanks all. When I did try to lift the cover off it started to make tearing noises so I stopped quick. That must have been the Velcro!

As others have said. Two velcro strips closer to the gas cap and then two clips pretty much in the center between gas cap and handlebars and then there are two nipples connecting the tank cover to the black side panels.
