Hi there! New with this brand, i only have this bike for few months and i bought it used (s1000rr 2012). The bike have cat removed and it has akrapovic shortie connected with headers via dominator connector pipe. Today i noticed three beeps when i turn off the ignition key and some sound under the seat, right where the rear shock is when key is turned on. After some time searching on the net i found out that that part its called positioner unit exhaust flap. I didnt noticed this sound till today. Heres short youtube video clip:

Three beeps when the ignition key is turned off disapeared but the sound of this unit continued to appear. Is this unit can be disabled since till today i never heard this unit working. Thank you!

You can remove/disconnect the servo and connect a servo buddy/healer to prevent getting error code.

Thank you!Can I just disconnect it without removing it and connect a servo buddy? Also any idea why this wasn't active till now? Im owning the bige for few months and ive never heard it functioning :/

Dont know if its the same but on my gen3 i did a d-cat and left the butterfly in, being shut keeps noise down when track noise testing. It opens when on the gas?

Yes you can.
Good question. Have you had a firmware update/used a GS911 or reset the ecu?
