Gear lever

During the bmw day yesterday (29th) I was putting my tyre warmers on, went to move the gear lever by hand as it was in 1st still and the bloody thing was red hot! I mean hot enough to leave a burn mark in yr hand if not careful.... Anyone else noticed this?

Yes. It seems that anything near the frame gets particularly hot; especially after a track session.

I'll keep a look out with mine next week in Spain. If it gets hot anywhere it's going to do it there.

It seems everything near the frame has a tendency to get very warm. Part of housing almost 200 ponies inside.

That may explain why the rear seat cowl has a large gap around it. To suck the heat out lol.
