Changing wheels again onto dry tyres and removed nut to give it a clean and it has 2 grooves worn into it. Only covered 4500miles and front wheel only been out 4 times in those 2 years. How are your ones appear to be wearing? Is this normal?

Thanks

Simon

Eh? Is this the pinched captive nut that the axle screws into, which should not come out/move?

If so, never removed or moved so can?t say there?s wear.

There should be no need to remove that spacer to remove the wheel as incorrect figment can cause damage to the abs sensor.

I have seen wear on all of the ones I?ve worked on, it?s just from the wheel bearing seals. I couldn?t say weather that?s an excessive amount or not... Probably not, it?s inevitable that the seal will wear the spacer as it?s constantly in contact. Obviously it will stop wearing at some point when the seal no longer puts pressure on it.

I wouldn?t worry about it.
