Focused Events 05/05/2014 Siliverstone

I have booked a day with Focused Events on 05/05/2014 this is not one of the BMW track and trianing events; I am hiring a S1000rr from them as track day insurance and tyre wear are about the same and the excess is far cheeper if anything un-toward was to happen.

I will be ridding in the Novice group

if anyboday else is going it would be nice to catch up

Can i ask how much the bike hire, insurance etc are setting you back?
And how much of a deposit they take?
I've got some nolimits vouchers to use up before i start booking any more days but interested in hiring over using my own bike.

I looked at track day insurance mce wanted £126 with a £2K excess not worth it to me, Morris wanted £250 with £875 excess which was better but once you add in tyres, wear and tear focused event did me a deal all in £475 bike and the track day the excess is £690, so to me it was a no brainer.

Focused have a bit of a reputation for charging you the whole lot if you drop it and the damage is only a bar end, crash bung, lever & footpeg. Maybe they have gone more reasonable with age but that's how it used to be. Other companies just add up the cost of the damage bits and deduct that. So watch out! Anyway, hope you enjoy your day and if I'm around on 5th, I'll give you a shout

Booked over the phone so no booking shown.
Will be riding my own bike there, and running it as is.

What a good day apart from to many red flags my legs do not belong to me today

Glad you enjoyed it ! It doesn't matter how much road riding you do, track riding brings out the muscles you never new you had lol

I had a blast too, agree too many red flags. Still four sessions was enough as I could hardly walk by the end, as was shown how to shift my weight like a jockey.
