Custom Painted Wheels

Is the Paint an Original BMW colour? It looks like Sau Paulo Yellow.

I was hoping Bahnstormer or Image Design would think the same. It seems their reputation isn?t a problem for them.

Sadly it?s not a standard colour. Similar to the S?o Paulo Yellow, but not enough to match.

Why have they just painted over the original BMW paint? That seems like a really bad idea and doomed to failure from the start.

They are HP wheels and I believe they are anodised black. I could be wrong though. I?d imagine prepping the anodised wheels is a little tougher, but isn?t that what BMW do with the blue ones for the HP4? Or are they anodised blue?

Either way, as a custom paint specialist, you?d think the original would have been done right. ??*??

Correct - the HP wheels are a black anodised finish. And yes, the HP4 ones are painted blue.

It's definitely doable. You can tell they haven't been prepped right from were it's peeling back on the edge.

Ive seen quite a few cases of the BMW's HP black wheels being painted and then the paint coming off after a time it seems paint struggles to stick to the anodised finish.
The BMW blue wheels painted from factory are painted on to the bare wheel so no issue with the anodised finish


Also BVG won't care he's so in with bahnstormer and Image Design
I do feel like they could of at leased offered to maybe share the cost of having the wheels redone

Bahnstormer and Image Design don?t care at all. They got the pretty pictures and exposure they wanted. From there no f?s given and even the emails from them agree they are bad, but other than that they dismiss it as I?m not a customer or potential customer in the future. Pretty naive as I would have bought from them.
