Fancied a day off work, cleared my diary and hooked up with my mate.
Haven't been down there in 4 years and forgot how utterly epic that road is.. particularly midweek when traffic is almost non existent. The weather was amazing and visibility as you head down the peninsula just gets better with each mile
Still undecided where to go when we hit the Green Wellie.. Campbeltown was the choice and it proved to be the right choice...Inveraray to Lochgilphead sets you up nicely with most of that stretch done at a quick pace... From Tarbet down to Campbeltown is perfect for a superbike, long undulating stretches where you can get on it and use the full width of the road. There was no banzai we just sat at a good pace all the way down.. we decided on a steak dinner when we got there as we savoured the thought of doing the whole thing again on the way home.. .. what a great day out..what a road !
