2024 S 1000 RR Battery maintenance

Hi , Have just bought a optimate 4 to keep my Lithium battery charged over winter.
I have bought the one with the BMW connector but can’t seem to find it on the bike.
Is there one fitted to this model?

Can you supply a link or part no. for the BMW connector? I am not sure what it looks like.

I've only used the SAE to battery terminal leads

I don’t have a part number, I’m looking for a female connection that may or may not be fitted to the bike.
The fitting is called a BMW CAN - bus..

Ah thats a DIN socket, its on other BMW's but not the RR.

The RR needs to be connected via the battery terminals. I have the SAE end exposed out the side it has a waterproof cap. So its easy to plug in when back in the garage.

If you don't have alarm and/or tracker you won't need to trickle.

Does the Gen 2 have an SAE that can be brought outside? I have to take the seat off every time which is a minor hassle.

I have a Noco genius one, fly lead from battery to under rear cowl .

Does the Gen 2 have an SAE that can be brought outside? I have to take the seat off every time which is a minor hassle.

Noco genius 1 route it either to the inside of the tail unit or like mine bring it under the rider seat and tie wrap to the frame hardly visible gives instant access.
