Hey guys,
Been offered a set of used titanium akrapovic headers (headers only, not the link pipe) for my 2014 S1000rr.
What's a sensible price on these, not sure if he's trying to have my pants down!
Thanks in advance.

Are they titaniam or stainless? also mind they wont fit without the correct link pipe and make sure u get all the springs and collars

It's titanium.
Not sure if road or race but it comes with collars and springs.
Makes no difference on link pipe as I'll be buying an Austin racing system to go straight onto it.

Guessing but I would assume ?400 for a new set of headers would be in the ballpark.

Alex are you saying ?400 is the price for a used set or that's what a new set would cost?
Looking on the net it looks like akra titanium headers and link pipes cost around ?1200!

Thanks jimmy, think I'll buy a P/C.

Total guess, based on the fact it's a 3rd of the total needed. These aren't normally sold separately. Check eBay...this is all guess work cause you've stated they've been offered to you but haven't said how much the other party wants for them.

Jimmy - because I have my heart set on an Austin racing system, I was just going to buy a link pipe and slip on but got offered the headers so thought it would make a nice complete system.

I've been offered them for ?400 Alex.

Spoke with him.
They are immaculate, come with springs/clamps etc.
They are the titanium HP4 akrapovic headers.
He wants ?400.

What do you think?

Whats your reason for wanting to change your exhaust? Performance gains or just plain noise change? If its the latter then just save your money and buy a link pipe and end can.

Honestly just noise.
But if for ?400 I can fit a set of headers, get a little more noise and better the performance then why not.

Headers alone won't make a difference. It's removing the cat which does it. There are cheaper ways...including cutting the cat off the stockers - they aren't restrictive headers as stock.

I appreciate that, I know all the alternatives, if I don't buy these headers I'll just order an Austin Racing decat pipe and slip on, cut my cat out and fit.

But I've been offered a set of akra headers for ?400 and thought why not, then I can just order the Austin racing decat pipe to slip straight on these headers and will make a nice system with the added bonuses of not having to cut my old cat (I can then keep it to refit if I decide to sell the bike), I can fit a PC and get more power, they look better and it will finish the system off nicley.

I just want to know if ?400 is a good price for titanium HP4 Evo headers?

Sounds to me like you have already made your mind up before even posting on here pal, go get um for that price its worth it if you can justify buying them.

I sort of have made my mind up mate, I want to fit them.

With regards to my original post all I wanted to know was what's the going rate for these headers used, I had been offered them for ?400 and had no idea if that was cheap or extortionately expensive, to be fair I still don't know lol

I paid ?400 for my akra ti headers in late 2014 mate. So that sounds about right and your right its nice being able to take the full stock system off and bolt on the akra and austin racing right on. Go for it.. my mate has stock headers and the austin racing can aswell and theres no diffrence in sound or power if im honest but its cool looking thorugh the fairing and seeing a full ti system :wink-new:

Cheers Jordan that's the answer I was looking for lol
I imagine it won't make a difference noise wise but it's always nice to do the job properly, I was never really happy with cutting the cat off, thanks mate.

That's it mate. And when it comes time to sell again they will always be with good money and you can just bolt the system back on again no messing about trying to get sleeves to put ur standard system back together again.
