Asian fit Arai into uk fit

Hey guys,

So I purchased a new helmet off eBay, private seller, can?t return the helmet as he states no returns and it?s been too long.

Anyway, the helmet is a Arai in size large. Large is my size but its a Asian fit large. The guy had bought it in Japan.

I was wondering if I could change the padding to a Euro fit padding?
Surely the shells are the same size, it?s just the padding inside that makes the fit?

Im hoping so or I?m stuck with a very fancy helmet paperweight.

I?d have thought the different internal shape is due to the way the EPS is moulded rather than just the pads, but hopefully someone can confirm.
If not, could always contact an Arai UK distributor and see what they say
