Set off at 730am, meeting a pal at Morrisons for fuel, bike died as I pulled in, knew right away it was a leccy problem, most unusual, this bike has never let me down.

Whipped fuse box cover off and 4 amp Ign Circuit fuse had blown, had to jump back to house on my mates bike to get a spare, so that took 20 odd minutes off faffing about.

Intended going to Skye, so A82 Green Welly, A85 Dalmally, Connel Bridge A828 to Fort Bill, down to Mallaig A830 only to find out the ferries were fully booked, bummer, so just got some grossly overpriced scoff, headed back to Fort Bill, hung a left to Spean Bridge and the A86 to Dalwhinnie, A9 to Ballinluig, A827 Lix Toll then Cianlarich and back down Loch Lomondside home.

The roads were out of this world, highlights: A85 Dalmally, A830 down to Mallaig and back and THAT A86.

Sitting at a decent pace the whole way, don't think we blew much into 3 figures anywhere, the roads were quiet first thing and Loch Lomond looked immense as it was flat calm first thing..

Took a few pics for the forum en-route... Also noticed on way home my high beam is illuminated on dash but the lamps are not burning, strange, think the old birds showing her age now, two problems in one day, really unusual, the bike performed flawlessly expected..

Cracking run that, the A827 from Kenmore to Killin i love, I rip the arse out of it along that stretch, roads are too busy these days, it?s torture.

It was, that's why we leave early, Wull, to miss the traffic. It's amazing, If we leave 30 minutes later the 82 gets busy with campervans and tourists, we just made it this morning, normally I'm away at 7, that gives a clear run up the Lochside and full use of both sides of the road when you want it..

Those Islands in the distance are Eigg and Rum.

Great photos Stuart. Sounds like you had a great day out despite the electrical gremlins. Make the most of the tropical Scottish weather while it lasts!
