I'm sure it was on this thread but I can't find it. My mate has a July 15 s1000rr and I'm not sure if it has the IMU or if it would need that installed as well as the software upgrade?

Does it have the lean angle sensors to show the degrees of lean?

ABS Pro > shows up when the key is turned and ignition powers on before the dash resumes to normal

2015 ABS pro upgrade for s1000rr

Hello,

I've looked into getting ABS pro for my 2015 s1000rr. Spoke with bmw and they can plug the bike in and upload this for a cost.

anyone think it's worth getting? I believe the 2016 or 2017 ones come standard with abs pro?

Thanks

worth noting ABS Pro doesnt work in user or slick modes for some reason which could be a showstopper for some people?? I doubt most people (including me!) would be able to actually feel a difference riding but i guess it could save your ass one day?!

Absolutely worth getting IMO. It is expensive, but nowhere near as expensive as crashing ;). I had it fitted to my 2015. Yeah it does come as standard on the 2017 (not sure if all models or just the 'sport')

How much were you to get it on your 2015? Who fitted for you? Thanks

I paid just shy of ?400, that included fitting of the ABS-Pro and my oil and rad covers. It was Mottorad Central in Dalkeith that fitted it, that's where I bought the bike.

I was ?350 ish from Motorrad in East Kilbride last May, never needed it ( I think ! ) but well worth it.

Apologies for revisiting an old thread but I must relate the excellent service I received from Bahnstormers, Alton yesterday, specifically from Andrew Torrance, the service manager. It was only as a result of waging through all seventeen pages of the thread that I decided I would like to have the ABS Pro installed on my 2015 Gen 3. I telephoned Bahnstormers and was advised that depending which software loom I had fitted the cost varied from ?350 odd to ?800!!!!. Suffice to say I decided it was worth a trip to BS and it transpired I had the MM5.10 software as against the MM3.10 which would have resulted in the higher cost - pretty sure I would have given that one a miss. I asked if they could install whilst I waited and most fortunately I was fitted in, the job was likely to take about and hour and a half.
Having agreed to proceed I enjoyed some fine coffee and biscuits and just under two hours later all was complete. To add to my complete satisfaction the final bill came to sub ?300 which included a complete vehicle check and valet. How's that for excellent service - I am well pleased.
PS I have no connection with Bahnstormers whatsoever, other than as a customer over the last seven years or so. :crash_smilie:
