1st Gear Selection Question

I thought that Fireblade's were unique with the massive 'clonk' they made when selecting 1st gear.

However my S1000 is the same as my Fireblade in that respect. Is this normal ?

It seems to be like that on most bikes these days.

yeh mine does it sometimes, especially if the revs are above normal tick over speed

Yes indeed it does. But I'm more assured now!

I always put mine in 1st before I start it for this very reason. Especially when cold.

mine does it too, as does my other bike, I quite like it.
