Hi All,
Having realised that the only way to see what the S1000RR can do was to take it to the track. That is what I did last night at Knockhill. Having not ridden there is 7 years, I found that I was running the same times as I was then thanks to the bike. Despite short shifting, still running her in fully, the bike was so confidence inspiring and has so much potential as standard. I am sure the traction control saved me as well when I had a slide exiting one corner, perhaps due to the tyres not being fully up to temperature and running road going pressures. Well I did ride there and back! What a bike.
