Hi just got a 2013 s1000 what is the normal tick over as mine is about 1500 rpm when warm?

Yup, that's about right. Same for most bikes.

Mine ticks over above 1000 but not to sure how much above

The manual is your friend, 1200 plus or minus 50.

Mine was 1500 when cold then 1200ish when warm.

But since fitting decat and KN air filter tick is about 1200 all the time.

Fly-by-wire system so probably not as easy to adjust as older bikes.
