Suspension gen 1,2 and 3

Am I right in saying a stock rear shock from a gen 1,2 or 3 bike will fit any of these generations? What about the front is it just gen 1 and 2 that are the same? Looking to sell my onlins gen 2 suspension and put stock parts back on to sell the bike hence the question! Thanks.

Gen 3 has a different shock length/linkage.

are the shock mountings the same on the frames, gen1+2 are the same, not sure about gen3 though

Ok so I could get a gen 1 or 2 stock shock then. What about forks are gen 1 and 2 interchangeable also?
