How big a job is it to fit softer springs to a Gen 3 DDC?

Like most people the stock springs don't sag much under my weight, and I would like more compliant suspension for road use.

Any idea roughly what the cost would be to have a specialist re-spring my bike front & back?

Also, does the stock DDC have enough range of adjustment via the dash to suit softer springs without replacing anything else?

Softer springs need less damping so I imagine you'd knock your settings down by 1 or 2 to start with.

Or do you also need to change to a lighter oil &/or revalve.

Thanks :)

Get a full service done by MCT with new springs. Would be about £300-400 last I checked.

Before I went full ktech on my Gen 3, lighter spings / changed air gap / 2D pot really improved the front end - I used MCT as well.

Take a pillion with you everywhere or eat more pies, get your body mass up to 137kg, stock springs work fine. <grin> sorry, couldn't resist it.

Is this a fat thing? Is it cos I is fat? I'll get my coat.....
