Gen 3 Headers on a Gen 2

Hi.

Just saw a video of someone putting the exhaust headers and cat from a Gen 3 on to an S1000R, also stating they can fit the Gen 2 S1000RR.

The twin cats on the Gen 3 look much smaller than the Gen 2's big box.

Does anyone know if this is in fact a straight swap as being claimed ?

i thought there was a slight difference in the exhaust ports on the gen 3, more oval as opposed to round, but with a little bit of fettling can be done easy enough.
