hi guys,
I'mnew to this forum, I ride gen 2 since 2017 and looking to adjust suspension sag to my weight. I'm 120kg/260lbs/18stone. Do I have any chance to put the stock setup in the place where I'll be ok for rode riding?

Hi,

We make a polite request for all new folk to make a welcome post before diving into tech questions etc. I hope you can make one in the welcome area shortly.

Wrt to your question, i think you will have to consider re springing the bike to be safe. The standard suspension is best for 14-15st.

I suspect you need to wind on at least half the preload front and rear. But beyond that I am guessing.

I recommend seeing a suspension specialist like MCT.

not sure but don't think the gen 2 is much different from gen 1, - i'm 15st and sag was easy to set - hardly any on the front (first ring) damping 3 +3 seems to work nicely on the road - (comfort settings) back - not much sag didn't adjust it ride height up, compression damping 1+1 rebound as bm comfort setting; works nice for me even with ventura luggage added.
so try it and see.

Ill try it tomorrow and let you know if it made a lot of difference, thank you

Hi Tom and welcome to a great forum I only joined last year. I live not too far away from you, being in the New Forest and can recommend a couple of companies I have used for different specialist matters. First, Race Lab Motorcycle Suspension in Wimborne did a brilliant job on my R1 suspension and the guy to speak to is Paul Adams the owner. He may have time on his hands at the moment as he is normally in attendance and BSB and club meetings!! The second is Road & Race Performance in Verwood, just round the corner from Crescent Motorcycles - same applies ref time! Guy to speak to there is Alan - the owner. Your difficulty would be how to get your bike there, dunno about an essential journey though, haha.
