Something rattling in the petrol tank

Is this the norm? Put the bike on the paddock stand and gave it a bit of movement to make sure it was sitting ok and the petrol tank has something loose inside it and makes a sound like a paint aerosol being shaken?!
WTF? Has my cursed bike been a prank all along and I'm actually on "Beadles About"

Don't worry tis normal behaviour, it's the tank breather that hangs down inside the filler cap..

Ah, ok, thanks for clearing that up. Wishful thinking it was the guy at the factory who had lost his 18ct chain with a full krugerrand attached. I'll not start turning the bike upside down now.

Have they agreed in principle to replace your bike?

Yes they have agreed to do that but were meant to call me on Wednesday to confirm availability. I'm still waiting for a reply regarding the wheel finish which I asked about 7 weeks ago. Im of the thought now that I can hand it back for depreciation free ownership. The longer it drags on the less likely I am to replace it with another RR.
