Hello all. Picked up my 2014 Gen2 around a week ago. Managed to get out for a ride on Sunday. I've made the switch from a Ducati 1199s. So far i couldnt be happier, the RR is far easier to ride not to mention it actually works at partial throttle and low speeds (there is always traffic!).
Im sure ill be needing some help with bits as im changing things ready for some track days next year but bery happy so far. Im already tempted by a 15 plate down at a local dealer (wish i had spotted it first) so feel free to tempt me haha.

Hi Mike,

Welcome along. Hope you enjoy the forum and the banter. You've done nothing wrong picking a Gen2 '14 :) But yeah the 15+ I'm sure is an upgrade...hence I'm avoiding riding one, despite sitting in a '17 at EICMA.

Hi Mike, welcome to the site. Every Beemer is good, they are so easy to ride both fast and slow. Enjoy yours and keep safe.

Hi mike, welcome to the forum and congratulations on your purchase. The gen 2 is plenty of bike, there's always going to be a newer, shinier version coming along. The nice thing with the late gen 2 bikes is that they are the culmination of 5 years of revisions, fixes and tweaks, making them a canny second hand purchase if they've been looked after. :)

Loads of trackday prep help on here. Are you a seasoned track rider? Whereabouts are you based?

Hi everyone, thanks for the warm welcome. I know what you mean about 5000 for more bike I cant use haha.

Soofsayer -not a seasoned rider. Just had my first year on the track with 6 days done, 5 at Silverstone and 1 at Donny. Hoping to get more in next year funds permitting. I'm based in Worcester so not too far from both those tracks.
