Biggest Lithium Battery

Hi,

It might be useful for someone in the future but my BMW battery started acting up and feeling it would be better safe than sorry, I just updated my battery. After stupid amounts of cross checking physical sizes with varying results I took the the average as correct and ordered the Shido LTZ12 HP S battery. I’ve had Shido’s on all my bikes except the Gen 4 for years and years and not a problem. Now Performance Parts happen to be doing that HP battery for £100 pound off. It’s just arrived and it slotted straight in with the pull bracket as well. The only mod I did whilst waiting for the battery this morning was to cut away the tiny webs at the back of the bmw housing. (See pics) I don’t know if I needed to but it does give 10mm…ish more room. Ta J

Old thread but useful, thanks. Was seeing the DDC Calibration Failed message on a new bike i picked up. Tried all sorts to resolve, including, eventually charging the battery (a Fultbat Lithium) which was doing strange things even after charging. Concluded that someone must have used the wrong charger for it in the past.

Anyway, Calsport are still doing this battery for £158 and I was able to get Sportsbikeshop to price match.

New battery installed, DDC Calibrated without issue.
