Hey folks,

I have just got a 2020 RR and it is due an annual service. My local motorad dealer says there is a 2 month wait at the moment to book me in.

Does anyone know of any independent garages that can do this and also update the onboard computer to remove the warning? I?m based in Medway, Kent

Thanks

I?d find an alternative Motorrad dealer as it saves any arguments with future warranty claims.

I'm guessing it's Ardens. Wouldn't touch them with a barge pole from experience.
I use chandlers of Brighton, bit of a trek but service and attitude are very good

Also a bit of a trek but this place is ex-Motorrad staff. I got my Gen 2 serviced there couple of weeks ago at very short notice and it's right beside a bakery you can sit in whilst they do it, as long as you specifically book a waiting service. It's just up from Junction 9 of the M25 so should be easy to find.

Looks interesting. How do prices compare with main dealer?

My annual service was 186 (oil only, not brake fluid), not sure how much cheaper that is. He also reckons that my coolant pump needs changed and that's going to be 340.
Is that much cheaper? The owner seems to be well regarded and only uses bmw parts.

Tbh I only mentioned them cos they generally only have a short waiting time for appointments which seemed to be what Luke needed. They've only been there about 18 months.

Yeah, it?s Arden?s. What was your bad experience if you don?t mind me asking?

Is a tad far, but may be a good option if can?t get anywhere more local. How long did the service take whilst you were waiting.

Cheers, yes that's cheaper than a main dealer that is usually well north of ?200. Also like the idea of people who specialise in servicing and not trying to sell you a new bike every time you go in.

Generally bad attitude, oil spillage from service, said there was nothing wrong with the fork knock (eventually agreed there was) turned for a service with a 600mile mint carbon wheel (mine was cracked from pothole and refused to fit it as it wasn't new) .
Lost my business, Bought 2 new bikes in the past....
