I apologise up front but its soap box time!!!

Why is it that the Hampshire council is so bloody commited to firing salt all over the roads even though it has not been wet and there has been no snow for weeks :confusion:!!!

Today was a spectacular day but was ruined by the fact that my bike is going to be ruined by all this salt.

it's so bad its blowing in the wind.

If any one knows someone at the council tell them to STOP!!

Sorry had to get that off my chest.

I always wait til it's been washed off by rain before venturing out - cold salty roads don't do all those expensive alloy components any favours at all....

I think they are trying to get rid of the mountains of salt they got in after the worst winter ever was forecast but never happened. It can't sit in the depots until next winter it will have gone hard. They've been chucking it around essex with gay abandon the last few days.
