How does venture shield come, is it already cut to size or does it come in a roll and then you cut and apply accordingly? Is it something that can be done DIY?

There are certain parts of the bike I'd like to protect hence asking the question. Sorry, new to PPF...

Pre cut templates I think. Our dealers got a regular company who comes in and applies to all demos etc
def worth it

Yes, it comes as a template with parts cut. Applied badly looks a dogs dinner. Personally I would get a detailer to apply it correctly.

ive fit the venture shield on mine and my missis last 6 bikes. its easy enough to fit if its warm and not windy, or in a nice workshop. full kit takes me a few hours but thought stuff it and i will pay for it to be fit this time. i expect a couple of hundred for fitting. :)

Got the email today to say my bike is now built and is starting its journey to the dealer. I'm not due to pick it up till 3rd April anyway, my decision, Ive still got to sell my current bike and thats only been up a week now. Once thats gone then I may be tempted to get it early but until I sell my other bike I won't be picking up the new one as I think the wife would divorce me if she opened the garage door to find two bikes haha

Ventureshield is now really old technology, best going for XPEL self healing PPF.

I can put you in contact with a supplier if you wish to install yourself if he can install it did you depending on location.

Just came off phone to my dealer - Got to choose my number plate today.....naff choices but went with the one I thought best. **20MXD........Only thing that came to mind was Maxed or as my mate put it Maxs dad lol (son is called Max btw)

BIke isn't due to arrive till next Monday however been confirmed its with carrier and it could be delivered today!

Still in two minds about Venture shield....

Agree about the tech but it does work, particularly on these bikes when a stone hit is likely to be glancing rather than head on. As I have posted before I had ventureshield on my HP4 for 15k miles and the fairings were unblemished when I sold the bike. For the price (compared to the ppf stuff) it seems like a no brainer to me?

Having said that, I have not had my current s1000rr done, mainly because it is never in my garage lol.

Hi,

Will appreciate that to get a rough idea on cost involved. Thanks.

@Sam76 Yep, Sales are bad, but Service are worse imho. I've collected my bike over the years with numerous defects and damage that they've caused. Had bolts not torqued down properly, just sitting in the holes, scratches to paintwork. And in all cases apart from loose bolts, they never admitted liability - so take detailed pictures all over your bike before leaving it with them. The people who work there just seem fed up and so they really aren't doing their best work. It made me try Bahnstormers, but Sales have told me such a pack of lies about the Gen 4 that I'm now thinking of jacking the idea in and going for a V4 instead as my Ducati dealer has been superb. It's really frustrating.

As a matter of interest which member of the sales staff and which branch?

I wish, it has lived at the dealers since late last year for the oil cooler recall. Briefly came home and sat in the garage before being collected again for the brake leaks. I think its done more miles in a van than on its own steam.
