Resistors

Had a look in the search option but no joy. Plenty about resistors, but the question is, what type of resistors do I require? From OEM indicators to integrated LED ones in the undertray.

I asked the guy in Maplin today for resistors, he then asked what kind. I thought they only came in one type.

Needless to say I came out without them.

Hi Maz, as long as you change all four at the same time then start bike up it should not throw up any fault codes. The computer monitors the current through the lights via the canbus and if they are different to each other it thinks a bulb is out. LEDs draw much less current than filament bulbs, so if you mix them your bike would notice this and display a fault.
Very early bikes needed the software updated to allow owners to change from standard bulbs to LEDs but if your bike has been serviced by BMW it should have any updates already.
Are you changing all 4?
