Sorry for all the questions :smile-new::smile-new:

When I replace the rearsets I also want to replace the quickshifter as the BMW dealer said the QS fitted isn't meant for race use and isn't really up to the job , so my question is is it the same as any other QS where it's just 2 wires or is it more involved than that.

is there a better QS out there that's a direct replacement?

What year is your bike? There are many options out there. First I suggest you try the stock.

It's a 13 plate. I've read that the QS caused gearbox issues so would rather change it

Aftermarket quickshifters definitely improve the action and are adjustable for sensitivity and kill time, whereas the original q/s is non-adjustable.

Some need piggybacking to the injectors(which also means piggybacking to a power commander if one is fitted) and some work off the coils.
IMO,working off the coils is preferable.

By sheer coincidence(!),I have a Cordona strain gauge intelligent quickshifter(which works off the coils)which I am probably going to sell.PM me if your interested.
