Paddock stand front

If I look into the manual then it says I need the basic standard (83300402241) with the Service Adapter (83302152840) for the front fork.

For example Harris has a front fork stand with the pins on it. Some local webshop here told me that the pins of other paddock stands would scratch the shaft of the wheel?

You need the spigot type.
I have the Harris stand as found in your link and highly recommend it.

Ya they don't seem to like stands

What I done is take off the folding L shape on my aluminum stands and cut off one upstand and ground other to a point with a slight curve the the front of it to hook the leg as you start to lift.

It's solid out. And cost me nothing.

Worked so well I done same with my other stand for the sv650 racebike

This is complete nonsense and you will have absolutely no issues if you decide to use a Harris under fork spigot type front paddock stand.

I have the universal style front stand from my r6 days. Think I might upgrade to a decent spigot style. Out of curiosity, anyone know what the standard finish is like? The highly polished variants are quite the price hike.

I have a selection of Harris paddock stands all in 'standard' finish. I've been using them for years and the build quality is superb.
