OEM heat shield

Hi all
Can anyone tell if the exhaust heat shield where it meets the exhaust has changed at all over the years. Mine is oval and won't tie into a round aftermarket exhaust

I have a 2010 and have been told there may be a change in the heat shield over the years

Yeah it's better on the older bikes
Do you just have and end can then , I have never just fitted and end can so you will have to wait for someone else to come along

Fitted an austin racing slip on. Looks great apart from where it meets the cover!
