I dont have any power in my garage and i need to find a way of getting light into it - ive looked at a few battery powered LED options on eBay but just wondered if anyone could recommend anything?? Will the LED option be bright enough?? Any thoughts or advice much appreciated.

What's the power requirement of your tyre warmers and lights Steve? Just browsing on-line and a random set of warmers I've found require 1065w, so the above (750w continuous) wouldn't be enough to power those and some lights (plus you want a bit in reserve).

Above is in regards to track days, if you need power into your garage what's the layout (stands alone/on block etc), I assume no way of tapping off your household power as too far away? Any outside lights on the garage or near by you could sneak a power takeoff from? ;)

P.S I have some LED work lamps on a tripod and they're ****, depends on the design but I don't think for pure lighting power (not too mention heat) you can beat a couple of 500w halogen worklamps.....however not the most practical for lighting a whole garage, you really want some fluro tubes of some sort.

This generator is better:

I know but someone said that if you buy a cheap one they might not last - also i didnt realise how much draw the tyre warmers are so needed more powerful one anyway - a friend of mine did a lot of research on them last year he bought the Clarke one and loves it!

I am now trying to sort out some tyre warmers - if i tell your missus its MY birthday would she treat me to some!!??

Ive found some Cap-Its for £279 delivered - that seems reasonable doesnt it?

Im hoping the fact they are bright blue might stop me from riding off with them still wrapped around the tyres!!
